Years ago, I was assisting a young relative with a first-resume-post-college-graduation and was asked if it was possible to not list the degree. This wise youngster made the same point as you did...and...because I'm 'old school' at first I resisted; that resume remains "collegeless" to this day and the person is gainfully employed in a position that allows total enjoyment of non-work hours. Hmmmm.
