The liquidity of time.
Old summer was
so much less hot
than this one is…
I kid you not.
But kid I was
in way back when
and our old pool
did make me grin.
Cold water from
a bright green hose.
A one-piece suit
no shoes, no clothes.
Where is she now —
This young daughter?
In wrinkled tank
and time-water.
