A short review of “All In: The Fight for Democracy” a documentary film

From Amazon Prime’s publicity page for the premiere of this movie on September 16, 2020.

To be able to vote is to have a small feeling of power in your arsenal of items important to have as a human being participant in the outer world.

Movie trailer and resources here: www.allinforvoting.com

To not be able to vote is a reality every citizen in the United States of America needs to understand…to really understand…not to just give some attention to when a politician who matches up to and identifies with an historically privileged class discusses “voter fraud” in a news outlet.

To take the time to watch a documentary like “All In” is necessary right now! Everyone over the age of 21 needs a refresher course to re-learn whatever they were exposed to in any American history class. The right and privilege to vote is not universal, nor automatic.

Why? Fraud and mismanagement happen across the board and at scale that increases proportional to population numbers.

This movie is laden with calm expertise, expert graphics that spell out with art the personal tragedies that happen because of bias, unjust treatment, and outright corruption.

The narration, by Stacy Abrams (herself a major victim of voter fraud and disenfranchisement), is calm with the kind of anger that can — and should — move mountains.

Thank you for reading this review. Writing it was the result of the call to action it inspired in me. I am going to check my registration and follow up to ensure my ballot was counted on November 3, 2020. You should, too.
