and beyond bee
this photograph

No, it wasn’t
good enough for
that daily game
or metaphor.

Hot coffee spells
morning’s routine
seven letters
making bee-ing.

Fourteen photos
were submitted —
my camera’s bees
weren’t permitted!

NOTE: It used to be on my “cloud list” to be granted publication by the New York Times of a bee photograph that I had the good fortune to snap. As of today, that list item has been scratched. I’m taking my power and granting myself permission to publish my own bee photo and leave those newspaper game people in their own ivory tower realm of judgment!
