Money, www.medium.com, over, and out….

Photo taken by the author without any concern for quality. No and vem and blur. Co-opt it at your own risk.

Mo mo Money.
No no Vember.
Da da Data.
Me me Member.

For five ‘hole years
I paid so paid
other authors’
saw monies made.

The choice complete.
The deed is done.
My medium?
No longer fun.

Mo mo Money.
No no Vember.
Da da Data.
Me? No Member.

NOTE: The account I’ve had with medium began in 2013 when I sent an application to become a member. I was a working as journalist at the time, but the powers that were still made me wait, and hope, and bite my metaphorical fingernails, to get “in.” What was I thinking? Who was I back then? That person was not this person now. When medium went monetized, sure, I paid to read, paid to support writers, and chose not to tap into the income stream. But now I am finished, complete, done with all of it. Worn down by old methods of exchange, chaos in the world of publishing, and spiritually exhausted by all energies that lay outside of my garden, I am grateful. Grateful, still in love with words (especially rhyme), but moving into something new that I know not what it is or will be. Thank you for reading this message. You have been, are, and always will be appreciated by the sparks in my spirit that connect to the the sparks in yours.

Amen, and so it is.
