It Takes a Villain…

…to break a constitution.

Just one person
or ten million
cannot stop a
heartless villain.

No poetry
nor pretty words
can keep it strong —
this house of cards.

If power is
for give-and-take
then evil grants
us quake-and-wake.

So what to do
when faced with fear?
Generate love
and persevere.

NOTE: While humans endure the process of tearing down for the purpose of rebuilding — and keeping hope alive that the rebuilding will be beneficial for all people and make the world a more hospitable place for all living creatures — let us put some “per” in what feels “severe.” This poem was written to let off some steam from my heart which is on fire right now…on fire for the purpose of tearing down and rebuilding.
