aim, shoot to kill.
vicious exchange.

i for an i
gun for a stun
buy a good buy
submachine gun.

i in act, -ing.
oh!s in controls.
mothers’ hands wring…
cannot save souls.

aye for an i?
congress says “no”
die sine die
prayers salvage woe.

RHETORICAL QUESTIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE ART OF POETRY: How is it possible to craft a poem out of extraordinary sadness rooted in metal, ammunition, anger, free will, violence against innocents…and a human’s soul? How is it possible for leaders to ignore what subtracts from the land of the free and the home of the brave?
