Ha! This article made me think of “small talk” as contrasted with “large talk!” I once went to an event that was titled “Playshop.” It was so interesting. The venue included lots of different rooms where people could just dip into and find things to discover or explore with one another — not talk about who they were in their roles. One room was set up like a TV studio and you could either choose to be filmed or photographed. One room had only a filing cabinet and a few art books…the one I explored and discussed was about the way Lewis Carroll wrote Alice. My best and most remembered conversation from that event was with a five-year-old boy who is now a teenager with his own reiki business. So, compare and contrast: Networking/Intellect. Playshopping/Heart. What would you rather do?
