Dear Todd,

Please allow me to tell you that age erases some of that self-absorption necessary for the creative process. And it’s a good thing. As a person gathers years into their skin cells, bone and organ cells, their perception widens. It’s fascinating. There are no metaphors for this process — maybe you’ll think ‘sponge’ but no…more like ‘quanta,’ (whatever that is) or ‘current.’
