Dear GOBOF,
To grow old, consume vitamins. (There are vitamins in ice cream). To grow big, read words. (Expansion of the mind is better than expansion of the body.) To grow fit, exercise friendship. (A squeeze of the proverbial lemon into a tall glass of medium increases age, size, and capacity in extraordinary ways.) As for the grief, imagination is the best workaround. Set an extra place at the table before your next meal, snack, or beverage and invite the spirit of your father. This advice will also help you to know that I'm sending you some tea with the sympathy embedded in this comment. Cream?
Sincerely,
Mary
