As an early adopter (experiencer!) of COVID-19, I used the only method I know of to answer the questions that arose in my mind about this phenomenon: intuition. The answer I got was "lab," and after reading this well-written (thought out) essay, I feel that the virus arose in nature, made its way to the lab, was manipulated by humans, and escaped. It first found my body in December 2019...vectored by a family member from the Pacific NW. My journey with COVID-19, the vaxes and the booster has been so epic that my thoughts about its origins no longer take up space in my brain. The fact that It Happened and I Survived to write about it is my truth. The side effects of sadness and anger are the worst, and there is no cure for them...not even "fake it 'til you make it' works. For all of this, I am sorry. For great analysis and writing, sensitivity and science, I am grateful to Ethan Siegel. Thank you.
