How did The Dip get the upbeat SO right? They DIP!

Thanks to Muscat_Coach and pixabay.com for this image.

Here is a gift
a brand new song
if you’ve lost
a love…OK

Music Saves!

NOTE: This is one of my all-time favorite groups. May you enjoy their talent, too. And I still have issues with the uploading of videos on YouTube. Why, why, why?

…after “O Tannenbaum”

O bag of pipes
O bag of pipes
your sounds come out
in stars and stripes.

It takes a breath
and a big squeeze
to bring our ears
down to our knees.

O dudelsack
O pipes and air
this instrument
is solitaire.

O dudelsack
O dudelsack
its music stirs
my maniac.

…or, how paper rocks sleep

Rest, silent books
in room of bed
and read yourselves
as light is shed

to enter that
veiled realm so deep
— unconsciousness —
a mental sweep.

Might dreams show up
…or muscle cramp…
that could require
the use of lamp?

Oh books! Each stands
and keeps to self
until awake —
removed from shelf.

…or not…on U.S. Veteran’s Day 2021

Thank you, Pixabay, for this “no attribution required” image of the pristine glove holding the at-rest bayonet.

Let history seal
the pain and heal
with salves of why
and freedom’s feel.

All soldiers and
their bayonets:
The means of war
and peace’s debts.

War’s brain admits
insanity.
Peace’s heart grasps
humanity.

Respect the past —
its bloodying.
To us, U.S.
no studying.

NOTE: In 1963, musician Pete Seeger called up the past and let it sing out of the baggage where oppression and freedom coexist. The first person who said, “I ain’t goin’ study war no more,” is another kind of “war hero.” War waged against fear, oppression, and polarization costs the very humanity for which it “fights.” Listen to Seeger’s various levels of voice and wait until the end of the video when most people in attendance add their voices to his.

…is it time to get it off your ass?

How often do
you think of tree
when you finish
a poop or pee?

Go deep when you
ask if water
or leaves make a
better blotter?

For the world it
is an issue
how we use up
all that tissue.

Consider Earth!
Think, “Kiss my ass”
when paper cleans
your ‘underclass.’

NOTE: Why do I write “shit” poetry? Because, thanks to TBTL, I have awareness of a product known as Tushy (www.hellotushy.com).

What is TBTL? What is Tushy?

Why does Google start with “go” and end with “gle(e)?”
